Teaching
I have given a number of workshops on basic Python programming, as well as on using Astropy and glue including at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the Space Telescope Science Institute, the Max Planck Institutes for Astronomy and Nuclear Physics, the University of Cardiff, and the University of Hertfordshire.
While I was a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, I taught a course every semester at the University of Heidelberg, entitled Python Programming for Scientists. This was a one-week block course that taught the fundamentals of Python programming, the use of Scientific Python packages, and gets students to work on scientific problems using real data. The notes for the last version of the course I gave in 2015 can be accessed here.
